I'm meant to be writing. Instead I'm making a pretty hefty playlist for the Damn Robicheaux Boys stories. Honestly, it's
15 songs so far including: 3 by Bishop Briggs, 3 by Dorothy, 2 by Halestorm, and 2 by Kamelot. Some of them are just songs that make it easier for me write for these boys (such as "Time Machine" by Ingrid Michaelson and "Renegade" by Styx), and some of them are character specific (such as "Raise Hell" by Dorothy and "Silence of the Darkness" by Kamelot), and some of them are shippy as hell (such as "Pray (Empty Gun)" and "River", both by Bishop Briggs).
It's all kinds of all over the place, especially as far as musical genres go, but it's at least somewhat heavy on metal and rock/hard rock. Even with that, there are only 5 by male artists. That... was not intentional. Or it wasn't intentional in the way you might think. I had to go and hunt songs by male artists to put on here, because almost all of the ones I had and loved best were by women. It's just funny to me. It's not a common problem for me. I guess it comes back to the same damn phrase we keep coming back to in my head and in my car: "damn Robicheaux boys".
There's a reason why that's the series name (at least in my head).
Anyway, that's where my mind has been for the past few days.
I do have to say that Roo is looking a lot better. He definitely has a much larger appetite. His gums are slowly pinking back up. The weird swelling he had on his face is all but gone. He does stills seem to be grinding his teeth when he eats, so if everything else looks good when we take him back in a week, I'll ask the vet about it. If everything else looks good. We've got a pissy enough kitty, because of all the pills we're having to give him: one of them is twice a day, one is once a day, and one is every 3 days. It's a lot of pills to try to get down the throat of a very unwilling cat. He's even taken to hiding behind the television when we first get up in the morning and when we first get back home for the day. And that makes me hella sad.
And yeah, I think I need to stop here. I need to get more words done. I aim to get caught up to where I should be by the end of the day. Here's the most up to date word count as I sign off:
11868 / 50000 words. 24% done!
